Kristen Bell looks totally delightful here, as opposed to her usually disastorous attempts at dressin herself that make her look frumpy and squat (which she is not). This was taken at the Alzheimer Association’s 16th annual “A Night at Sardi’s” event earlier this week. She’s just so adorable and I’m very much enjoying that dress.
Lovely (not stumpy)

I kid you not

Lindsay Lohan’s mom is bat-shit crazy. She said she is doing a reality show starring her, her kids (specifically teenager Ali and younger son) family because she has “no choice.” La Lohan’s momma says, “tabloids and reality shows are not going away. If they know who Ali is as a person, it’s better.” Girlfriend is crazy! The scariest part is she seems to believe the crap that comes out of her mouth, cause she keeps spewing it over and over to any media outlet she can find. I’d say she needs to spend her time finding her kids a better stylist.
Exhibit A:
Though the style of shoe is growing on me (I know, terrible.)
Exhibit B:
Looks like someone got her first Revlon 2″ barrel curling iron!
There’s nothing like 80s costume jewelry, a jacket that looks to be made of real human hair courtesy of Chris March Project Runway 4 contestant (look it up), and leggings that truly catch the gleam of the moonlight to pull together an outfit.
I’m totally going to watch the show though, obvi.

Flawless

Natalie Portman is gorgeous. Seriously, she could not look more flawless here. The best part about her is that she’s not excessively exotic looking like a Giselle Bündchen or Agyness Deyn, but her whole look just comes together so cohesively. And it doesn’t seem like she tries too hard.
I actually really loved loved loved the dress she wore the other night on David Letterman, but I was afraid her little boobies were going to make a run for it. The fit wasn’t the most flattering. I’m trying to find who designed it…

As always, the fiercest prevails

I love Jillian, I really do. But Christian Siriano’s final runway show on the PR4 (yep, that’s what I call it) finale was seriously fierce. Who can compete with all that drama? I have no doubt Jillian and Rami will have long and lucrative careers in the fashion industry (as Jillian commented, she now “really belongs”), but they were too mainstream for the judges tastes. Plus, Christian truly knows how to whip a flat iron through his hair- I’d pay good money for a lesson on that fierceness! (Plus he’s so tiny and adorable I just want to put him in my pocket and have him be my personal fashion consultant for the rest of my life).

To Buy or Not to Buy
March 5, 2008 · Leave a Comment
The Tory Burch Reva Ballerina flats, in patent black. The perfect flat, no? Casual, yet sophisticated. Comfortable (or so I hear) yet chic. I’ve decided I have to have them. And the patent leather version has a bit more edge, just the thing my wardrobe has been missing. I’ve found myself staring at the picture of the exact pair I want for several minutes at a time; imagining what outfits would look both great and not so great with them, and how it might feel to wear them. So the question currently dancing in my head? To buy or not to buy…I think I’ve decided on YES.

Hello world!
March 5, 2008 · 1 Comment
I’d say the default title for the first blog post on this site is generically appropriate. So hello. I’m fabulous. I also find a lot of things fabulous (and many things not). Among my faves are hints of metallic, Marc Jacobs, going green, vintage art and accessories, fabulous friends and family, celebrity gossip, fashion magazines, reality television, processed meats (i.e. pepperoni), my perfect puppy, the beach, traveling, hand sanitizer, and summer. The dislikes include red meat (it’s just the taste- not the moral issue, though go ‘head to all you vegetarians out there!), being cold, mixing brown and black in an outfit, and many other things that aren’t quite as fun to list as the things I do like.
So, hello world.
